In Chechnya, the Closest Henchman of Doku Umarov is Annihilated


Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov said that “a few days ago the so-called emir of the Urus-Martan district was annihilated, one of the closest and the most trusted men of Umarov Genghiskhan Gishaev, as well as three other militants. According to Kadyrov, Gishaev personally brutally killed two militiamen, shot the Chechen frontier guards; he was also involved in a series of killings of military men.

According to Kadyrov, the Umarov and his environment neutralization operation continues in the mountainous areas of Chechnya, as well as on the territory of Ingushetia and Dagestan.

As Interior Minister of Chechnya Ruslan Alkhanov said, there are enough forces and resources to conduct this operation.

“The aim is to find Doku Umarov, the brothers Gakaev - Muslim and Hussein, as well as their closest associates. These bandits are particularly brutal. Under their belt there are numerous acts of terrorism, murders of both peace inhabitants and militiamen,” said the Minister. According to him, the bandits get support from abroad, including from Georgia.
